Gather ‘round and listen to the adventures of a frustrated cowboy and his stubborn steer, and how difficult it can be to get home for supper! This latest children’s book by Davis Davis is a hoot! It captures the cowboy’s world as well as the energy of an ornery longhorn in a fun-filled tale of a battle of the wills. When Zeke, an old Texas cowboy, is ready for a hot bowl of chili, he must first get his newly purchased steer into the corral. By enlisting the help of a host of colorful characters, he finally gets his dinner--but not without the possibility of the antics starting all over again! Told in the author’s inimitable native Texan voice, this humorous story makes for great read-aloud fun.
