Which iPhone Model Do I Have?

November 28, 2014 No comments

iPhone's have become a standard in our society. Look around you, there's probably someone looking down at their iPhone right now. It's hard to believe but the first iPhone came out in 7 years ago, and since 2007 there have been 10 different iPhone models released! When you're looking to sell your iPhone, it could be tricky to figure out which model you have.

How do I determine which iPhone model do I have?

There are two different identifiers to indicate which iPhone you have: the external model number and internal model number. The first place to check is the back of the iPhone itself.  Look towards the bottom center to identify the external model number. These will start with an “A” and be followed by a four digit number. Basically, the number followed by the word “Model”. Seems simple enough, right?

The second place you can find the model number is within the iPhone itself. Go to Settings and tap General.

Choose the first option on the top of the page, About, and scroll through until you see the label for Model.

Now that you've found out what the model number is, it's time to figure out which iPhone you actually have! Check out the list below to match up the model number to find out what iPhone you have. Regardless of weather you found the external (“A” number) or the internal (“M” number) model number, you’ll be able to match it up to figure out what iPhone is in your possession. You’ll need to know this information when you’re selling it back to us!
