Move to iOS app in iOS 9 makes it easy to switch from Android to Apple

The great war between iOS devices and Android devices has been a long and tiring one. Many users from both sides have become fanboys and girls for their operating system of choice, and by extension the company associated with it. You will hear similar arguments regardless of which side’s representative you are talking to.

“This operating system is so much easier to use than the other one” or “we get real upgrades” or “this is just so much more user friendly”.

Let’s just cut out the fat and admit that both operating systems are sitting on their thrones at the top of the cell phone market because they are both amazing! What many people claim is inferiority in regard to the other side, is really just a fear of something different from those making that claim. Apple has address that fear, and has revealed a new app that will allow Android users to easily transfer all of their content from their Android device to their new iPhone.

The major deterrent for Android users who have considered jumping over to iPhone's is that it would be too much of a hassle to do so. We may not have realized it when smartphones were first released, but our choice at that time threw us into a long term confinement. That is, at least for people who like to stick with what they know. So the dilemma for most is to either stay with what they know and attempt to forget their personal complaints, or venture out and try something new. With the release of iOS 9, a new app called Move to iOS will be make it easy for you.

Move to iOS is a feature that will likely push many people from Android to Apple who have been on the fence. Android users who choose to switch to an iPhone just need to download the “Move to iOS” app on their Android device. The app will securely and effortlessly transfer all contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, web bookmarks, mail accounts, calendars, wallpaper, and DRM-free songs and books. Additionally, Move to iOS will recognize all free apps that have been downloaded in the past will pop up in the “recommended” section of the app store. Also, apps that have been purchased on an Android device will automatically appear in the new iPhone’s App Store “wish list”.

This new migration feature is precisely what many Android users have been waiting for. No longer will curious Android users be expected to rebuild their entire smartphone experience from the ground up.
